Yes, a Grinder is a good early way to get 3x ingots with RotaryCraft. Pretty easy to set up. The Extractor (for 5x ingots) is somewhat harder but should be the next thing to focus on once you have sufficient power and can either:

a) produce sufficient RF and use a good magnetostatic to convert that to RotaryCraft

or

b) make a CVT (requires you can mine bedrock which can be done relatively easily with 4 hydrokentic engines) then you can do it easily with 4 steam engines.

or

c) use a few gasoline engines
To add on to this.
It's better to use a gearbox instead of a CVT because the CVT is always bugging out when you leave the chunks it's in, even when it is chunkloaded. As for the magnetostatic, in the version of Rotary craft in Monster, you need roughly 800 RF/t to be able to run an extractor at all stages.

Ah? What version of RoC is this? Because I have never seen this bug with CVT's and I'm using several of them. I started using them with v19 and now I'm using v22 of RotaryCraft.

Or D), use an AC Electric Engine hooked to a gearbox. Slow as anything, but it functions.

too much NBT data,
I thought youd say that. It wont happen. Why you ask? You must realise that there IS no DSU filled with DSUs filled with DSUs filled with DSUs filled with DSUs filled with DSUs filled with DSUs filled with DSUs filled with DSUs filled with DSUs filled with DS- Need I go on?

You people with magnetostatic... Why so lazy...

Get some jet fuel and run gas turbine into your extractor with a cvt switching between 512 and 16 torque every few seconds

Or hook up 32 micro turbine and lol at the speed

Or even more gas engine with even more gear box...

I remeber that, a while ago, playing the old Tekkit, I made an EE2 based factory that automated completely the creation of solar panels. I ended up with around a wall of alchemical chests - apromixately 20 or so - completely full of solar panels just hanging there.

Tartarus.. I mean at work. Same thing really.
Ex Nhilo/Ex Aliquo; you'll be swimming in a river of iron (and other metals), even if you only use ore doubling.

In FTB ultimate I racked up over 20 mill logs in storage.
Doesn't sound like much until you account for the 24x36HP solid fuelled boilers.

--If you want to know what one does with that kind of power; crank out bee serum and build a fusion reactor factory.

Even if you have enough power to run all stages, it is still much better to switch between torque and speed stage. The difference in throughput between doing that and just running at constant torque/speed is absolutely huge.

(And I've never seen issues with the CVT either.)

And then extra sells introduce the 16 MB cell, which is 81x64k cells.

400 million.

Though, a deep storage unit is 2 billion, which is 5 times a 16 MB cell, or 405x64k cells.
