Hello guys, I'm new here and i just wanted to know how to launch a modpack please. I really want to play and I've been searching all over the internet trying to find ftb and now that I have found it I dont kno how to start a modpack

Note: I play minecraft i kno the controls do i log in with my account?

hi new, im vikestep

direwolf20 did a fairly decent tutorial on this recently, he talks about how to do the DW20 pack, but you can access the other packs the same way

here is the link he mentions to download the launcher: http://feed-the-beast.com/

basically if you have windows, get the .exe, if you have mac, get the .jar

Its a good tutorial but it doesnt really show what profile to use either i create a new one or just use my existing profile for minecraft but thx anyway :D[DOUBLEPOST=1387075739][/DOUBLEPOST]btw thx for replying :)

I already downloaded the modpack too

As long as you have a legit Minecraft account, you're good to go. Use that. :)

Since your new, and likely installed the new Direwolf20 pack.. I suggest following Direwolf20's Season 6 let's play on youtube. He's only 3 episodes in but they tend to go 100 episodes.

You will learn a TON of stuff if you watch these videos when first starting out, stuff that you will likely never figure out on your own. :)

I agree - I have learned the VAST majority of what I know about many, many different mods via his videos.
But PLEASE don't make your buildings look like his. They can be so much prettier (though he's at least been making an effort lately...).
