im justing starting up and i cant find anywhere on the internet how to do it so im asking now when i watch youtube videos and stuff of people crafting and the click the question mark after they find what they want to make the slots for the items automatically get filled in but when i do i have to manually put stuff in anyone know the option on how to get "auto fill" for the recipes?
Im new to this having trouble.

the auto fill recipe will only work provided you have the required items in your inventory.
you must also hold SHIFT while clicking the question mark.

Also note that it won't auto-populate with Shift-clicking the "?" if the recipe includes a non-stackable item like a bucket of water, even if you do have all the necessary items in your inventory. In that case just clicking the "?" will place the ghost items into the grid so you can place them there manually.
