I'm making a Roguelike Adventures & Dungeons server and I have a problem google search can't fix

  • Tech Support section is for getting help with FTB related problems. If there's a repeatable issue that can be labeled as a bug, then please use the issue tracker for the pack or the app at GitHub issue trackers - If there's no repository for a pack that means that the pack is old and/or will not be updated. Bugs for older packs will not be fixed, unless they are critical.

I'm not too much of a tech savvy person, and so I have a problem when starting up LaunchServer.bat that looks like this:

Picked up _JAVA_OPTIONS: -Xmx5120M
Unrecognized VM option 'PermSize=256m'
Error: Could not create the Java Virtual Machine.
Error: A fatal exception has occurred. Program will exit.

C:\Users\(my user)\OneDrive\Desktop\RAD-Serverpack-1.49>pause
Press any key to continue . . .

I tried deleting PermSize, but it just shows another error:

Picked up _JAVA_OPTIONS: -Xmx5120M
A problem occurred running the Server launcher.java.lang.reflect.InvocationTargetException

Press any key to continue . . .

Nothing on google shows this exact permsize error, and I tried something to fix "Could not create the Java Virtual Machine", nothing happened. The tutorial for the RAD serverpack I'm using didn't have this problem at all. It just ran. I'm stumped.

It's not a FTB pack, just to start with mention that.

Move the folder away from you onedrive folder structure - example, create c:\games and put the "RAD-Serverpack-1.49" folder there, and try to launch the server.

Also make sure you're using the right java for whatever version of minecraft that pack is based on. (most likely 64-bit java 8 - stay away from versions 8.321 and 8.322, use earlier versions of java, 8.311 should work)
