cobble water? Not sure I understand you. And Idk why you think those are annoying, pretty darn useful if you ask me

You have to set up about 20 of them to actually cover a decent area since they only pick up things that hit their block space.

Also, because of how they work, you have to put them in a grid pattern which can often times miss an item if it hits the bottom.

actually, if you put one say... 4 blocks beneath a solid platform beneath the quicksand, it will pick up in a 9x9 area

Obsidian pipes pick up a 9x9 area?

I made a tubestuff tree farm using an axe of the stream and a block breaker, and it shot out the items to the back. I had to place tons of obsidian pipes to get it to pick up the wood that was spewing out. If I put it right next to the block breaker, it would send the items right back into itself.

It might work with normal BC pipes if I just used those instead of obsidian pipes, actually. Since it's from a mod called tubestuff...

Dat drep langwich .... Seriously gieser , its just , a mob falls on an obsidian pipe/transposer instantly to chest if you don't want mix ups and obsidian pipes don't connect to other obsidian pipes so it would be a good solution .

My desired addition would be a set of blocks where transparency and light pass-through are not linked. So you could have a "tinted glass" block which you can see through, but which doesn't affect the light level on the other side, and blocks which are opaque, but do transmit light levels (I'm aware that there are some bugs that do this already).

As to the steam issue (I know, I'm late to the party), I think that I'd probably make it so that you need to use the steam. The exact amount of the steam. If you use less, then the boiler goes overpressure and explodes, if you use more, then the pressure and temperature start to drop and you lose the efficiency. The main issue with them at the moment is that their balance mechanism is that they have a large capital cost, with a benefit to the energy revenue, but that doesn't balance things well, unless it's in extreme cases (look at what needed to be done to solars to make them somewhat more balanced).

Quicksand & wooden golums make a very good (& lag free) enderman grinder, simple & yet effective plus I am nasty & love the slow death, & one if not the cheapest form of grinder, 2 stacks of Qsand, 1 wooden golum, a t5, some wire & a on/off lever, & a water curtain or snow blocks to stop them porting away, by far the hardest part in finding a biome with the required Qsand.

You would have loved my Mob Reactor I was building for the Mothershoop.
