Why get excited for mods in 1.6 anyway? So far, there isn't any amazing addition to current mods or any interesting new mod for it, so it's basically a broken 1.5 with horses and colored blocks. And no MultiMC support yet. Oh god no

It's actually fairly simple to add mods to vanilla in 1.6. Once Forge is installed its a cinch really. I don't really miss MultiMC just yet. We'll see how it goes

yup, that's where mods are added in by loader programs

it tends to be the configs and jars that aren't drag and drop (not sure if mods use jars anymore)

nope. There is also the prevention option. Using tracks from star trek would be illegal.
