Last time I tried a builders wand, it crashed the client. I assumed a buildcraft filler would do the same thing.

Annoying fact: Landmarks do not place on AE MAC blocks. You'll have to place something else there. Found that out after I finished the frame on mine.

Why didn't you use the Buildcraft Filler?

Still, building something this big has nothing to do with practical applications. A MAC 8x8x8 for example is already more than any project has a use for.

You should split it horizontally in the middle and see if you can power that much of it. Half-splitting for the win!
