Hey Guys!

I have a problem with the FTB launcher. If i start it, select a modpack and press "Launch" comes the error message: "Error occured during downloading the game"
How can i fix this?

First off please follow this guide exactly to ensure that you have FTB installed the recommended way.

Once that is done please post your complete console log in debug mode to pastebin.com and link it here. Here is the guide to help with that.

First, do this to rule out ANYTHING that could be wrong with your setup:
Please follow these steps exactly: http://desk.feed-the-beast.com/index.php?/Knowledgebase/Article/View/9/0/basic-troubleshooting
This is to rule out any issues with your client setup.

If you continue to have trouble, please post your complete client-side console log in debug-mode to pastebin.com and link your paste URL here.
To find your logs and prevent them from expiring: http://desk.feed-the-beast.com/inde...29/1/what-log-do-you-need-where-can-i-find-it

Here is the log. Hope you can help me now :/

Please read the extra information at the bottom of the troubleshooting guide. Specifically the first bullet.
Other USEFUL information:
  • Certain antivirus' (AVG, McAfee, Norton) do not like to be turned off for any reason. Your antivirus may have a timed "Temporary Disable" setting, and you may need to use this setting to download the launcher and/or any modpacks. Though we do no recommend it, you may need to completely uninstall some antivirus' to get them to work.
  • If your download is unusually slow at any point in time, you can go to your launchers Options Tab, select your Advanced Options and change the location that you're downloading from.
  • You should not run your launcher from your AppData/Roaming folder. Many users have had issues doing this. It is suggested that you run your game from your desktop as this works for nearly every user. The launcher does not like having a file path that is in any temporary folder (Downloads, Temporary Internet Files, etc.), it doesn't like spaces, or special characters.
  • If you have 32 bit Java installed, you will not be able to allocate more than 1 GB of RAM to your launcher.
  • If you were directed here first, ans these steps did not work, please post your complete client-side console log to pastebin.com and link your paste URL in your original ticket thread. Do not create a new ticket if basic troubleshooting does not work. You are directed to the troubleshooting guide because the first thing you should do when you encounter technical issues is to perform basic troubleshooting steps.
  • To 'troubleshoot' a server: follow all of the above steps, then download a fresh server through the launcher.
  • Address is invalid (problem usually with Win8): Read this.
  • Windows 8 should run the launcher in 'Windows 7 Compatibility Mode' Instructions here.
  • The launcher likes to be run off of the computers Admin account. If your user account is not the admin account, get permission from the computer Admin to 'Run as Admin'. To my knowledge, this is only a Windows feature.
  • Please make sure you are using the "Recommended" version of the modpacks. Any newer versions are in development. At this time, we cannot offer support for the developmental builds.
  • Optimal RAM settings are between 2 GB and 4.5 GB. Anything more than that and Java will not be able to properly allocate memory to where it's needed (even within this range, Java can still have issues). Anything less than that and you will likely experience some severe game lag.
