What won't work? Pipes wont transport lava? Pipes wont export lava into generator? Generator got lava but wont generate power?
Also post a screenshot.

The issue is that I cant get the pipes to transport the lava to the generator.. Ive tried all sorts of pipes and they just wont work.. eg hardened fluiduct, golden fluid pipe, pressurized fluid conduit.. I just dont know

Well, starting with the BC pipes, they need a "pumping" pipe to draw the fluid out of the tank. This is the "wooden fluid pipe" with something like a Redstone engine or an Autarchic gate attached. It is rather overkill with golden pipe however. You can get by with stone pipe(it matches the extraction rate of the wooden pipe).

You also want to put your valves on the second lowest row of blocks on the tanks(lowest block that is not the outer frame) or on the bottom. Else you will not be able to pull fluids out past that point.

About the hardened fluiducts, have you tried a servo or retrivers? I don't think the lava tank will export fluids on its own.
