i need help navigating mods

alright i am trying to edit my mcpro hosting server to completely take canvas bags out of the game or atleast remove the recipe i have uploaded many recipe changers to my ftp i just really dont understand how to actually use the plugin... secondly i read that if i change the item id to 0 it will completely remove the item so i open up the config folder open up red power i found the bags id and changed to 0 then my server would not even run when i restarted​

I use a mod called Recipear to disable the canvas bags. If you gonna use it, then download it from the minecraft forums, throw it into mods folder, start the server, stop the server, edit the newly generated "recipear.cfg" in the config folder and add the ID of canvas bag to the disabled region.
