I keep spawning in the same world?

Im looking for a nice spawn to start my game in monster and I'm using the opus map to see the big picture but i keep just spawning in the same world just slightly different spawn points.. is that normal? like i delete the whole thing and start a completely new one..

Don't delete the old world until after you've made a new world. MC is weird like that. Mapwriter may also show the same map until you explore a bit, I've had that happen to me before.
