I'm trying to make a dimension. A simple dimension, a large preferably meadow biome no weather would be awesome.

How do I do this?

Also a link to a guide that isn't a video would be awesome.

Well, there is the official wiki: http://www.binarymage.com/wiki/doku.php?id=start
Probably the best resource to start off is the Writing page, http://www.binarymage.com/wiki/doku.php?id=writing:writing

The problem with Mystcraft and any tutorials you find is that the workings changed a lot over the versions, so what ever you find might be out of date. The official wiki, at least to me, always seemed the most up-to-date source for info, at least (usually) it clearly identifies which version a certain piece of information applies to.

I can't remember if you have to put the biomes before or after the biome controller, but everything else should be simple: There's a page for "No Weather" and if you don't specify a mandatory feature it will be picked randomly.

It's before, e.g. Meadows Biome, Single Biome

This is the page I always go to when I'm not totally clear on the exact semantics.

There was a guide on the forums, I'll see if I can find it. The links to the dev's site do give information. I found the writing style to be so obtuse that it was incomprehensible.

Its so freaking complicated, I learn how to make a stable age once and promptly forget it. I think the reason its so complex is because of all of the exploitative stuff thrown in like ore tendrils and lakes of liquid metals, you are supposed to work hard for it. But all of my random dimensions have some kind of valuable liquid in abundance, and I dont like that. I just went ahead and disabled instability, fluids and a few other things in the config so I wouldnt have to deal with it.

its complicated.. but also rewarding when you get what you want.

The key to remember is: "order matters"
I always put my symbols like this:
<biome names>
<controller>
<sky stuff>
<weather stuff>
<everything else>

So if you want a world with a single biome and no weather, try something like this with your pages
Meadow Biome
Single Biome
no weather
normal sun
normal sky
normal moon

That should get what you want. but sometimes you get tendrils or spheres. If so, just delete your descriptive book and try again with the same page order.

I wish there was a "no" page so I could say "no spheres" ... or "no caves"

Are you waiting for........ a cheat sheet?

Creating dimensions should be hard, in my opinion - like, you're fabricating your own reality, with it's own weather, sky color, terrain, etc. I mean, if it was as easy as putting a dirt in a crafting table and getting a item called: "Perfect Dimension of Diamonds, Rainbows and Ponies", it would be utterly cheaty.

FYI, I also don't know a squat about mystcraft, it's complicated as fuck.

I don't like to think of it as "making" dimensions.

I like to think of it like the multiverse theory and you're just creating links between existing dimensions.

For those who understand the Myst Mythos, you are the good sort of writer, and:

You are the bad kind of writer. The reason is easy enough to explain, but one has to have a passing understanding of D'ni to understand.

A dimension of rainbows and ponies sound awesome tho.

So does a Land of Blocks and Miracles. Minecraftian styling, but with ICP playing music here and there, and a Faygo river that changes flavor when you think of a flavor.
