I feel like in modded Minecraft, vanilla structures became a lot more rare

im not sure wether im just imagining things, but compared to my time playing vanilla minecraft a few years ago, i am finding close to 0 vanilla structures since im playing ftb in various packs (unleashed, unlimited, infinity, monster etc.). its just weird, though i was never a huge fan of dungeons etc, i just feel like the world generation is fucked up - the known issues where its almost impossible to find a desert aside, the world just feels empty to me somehow - i run through hundrets of chunks and i cant find anything interesting, even after switching back to vanilla world generation. i just miss stumbling over a mineshaft or a dungeon or spotting a village once in a while - am i the only one with that problem? couldnt find anything similiar online yet.

I find plenty of vanilla structures in my modded experience. Though in some new worlds I have more luck than in others.

Did you enable "generate structures" on world creation? It is enabled by default, so if you didn't change any settings it should be.

If so, then it could just be dumb bad luck.
