I want to build my own private server so family members can play FTB Infinity. Currently, I'm using my HP Pavilion M6 Laptop as a Server and I wish to build a dedicated one. Any tips and help would be appreciated and cost is important.

I run a small server for less than ten players on an old Core2-Duo desktop running Windows 7 (x64). I shoved 6GB of ram into it .The pack I run has about 100ish mods, and is doing OK so far. If you have an old desktop lying around, try stuffing it full of RAM and give it a shot.
