I can't create an infernal furnace

As the title states, i can't create an infernal furnace in FTB Ultimate for some reason. I build it and when i use my wand on it, it would transform. Please help.

I've made some pretty retarded mistakes when making them as well. Usually mixing up block locations. Might want to double check if you have the right layout, and if your wand has enough stored Vis to make it.

yeah the block location is correct i just made my wand of adept which is still at 250 vis. I watched awhole bunch of videos aswell to be sure and it is exactly the same

A common problem some players run into is building with nether brick double slab blocks instead of actual nether bricks. As I recall, if you're in creative mode or getting the blocks via NEI, the double slab block shows up first when you search. If you're playing survival normally it'd be pretty hard to make that mistake, but if you're not then it could be the cause.

Thanks for all your help but it still doesn't work :/ I'm on survival so i have definitely used normal nether bricks. I also learnt the research and im pretty sure there is no wrath lamps

Post some pictures maybe? and if you cant, is like this:
In a 3x3x3, make the 4 corners pillars of netherbrick 3 blocks high, fill the floor layer with obsidian, above one of the obsidian/between 2 of the pillars place an iron bar, in the middle of the 3x3 place lava and around it obsidian, on the third level put obsidian between the pilars but no in the middle, then use the wand.

You have the lava in the center and everything, right? I missed that my first time.
