I am trying to Build a IG Farm

I have been building a thing called the iron foundry which uses villagers to spawn IG but i wanted to make sure it actually works before i fully build it

Build and test in a creative single player world. That is what I do when I want to test things. If they work then I proceed to build it for real in a survival world on a server. But from what I've seen iron golem farms are based on vanilla mechanics. So it should work.

Unless there is a mod that alters those vanilla mechanics, you should be able to build it

well the mod pack is FTB Inventions and you cant trade with villagers

(Not trading with villagers is stupid BTW, they should've removed the energy exchange value of emeralds)

I don't think that should cause problems, but build it in creative first.

Have you waited for a while? I'm not familiar with this design, may you post a screenshot if the farm?
