Hello beasts.

Want to install GregTech mod to ftb unleashed. Did what was instructed, or so I believe, and I get a duplicate message.

Send Help.

Can you please give us a pastebin of your console log.

I can't right now since I've removed ftb from my pc and would have to re install it. With that, I may just have an issue installing mods in general. I tried installing Rei's mini-map and got the same duplicate message. I've searched google and youtube how to install mods but it's just not the same. My interface doesn't compare for I have Windows 8 and I don't have the general zip program or other things. But I am just a noob.

I'll post the log tomorrow.

Well, for the zip program. Get Winrar or WinZip or 7zip. all 3 are good programs.

Also i suggest Windows 7 as its easier to use (for me).
If you get your stuff working and give me your error log. I can help you. :)

Wrong.
Windows 8 works fine.

For tablet/touchscreen(Out of the box anyway)

I think the point was that if he can't figure out how to drop the mods into the appropriate folder in Windows8, he should upgrade to Windows 7.

Side-grade.

7 and 8 are basically the same thing marketed at two different consumer groups.

Works fine for my laptop, even has all my old folder pathing I was worried I would lose with Windows 8. Remember the windows key? It's the button that makes someone who is used to having a older version of windows fearless again with windows 8.

It is a weird upgrade, but not truly a side grade. Might be nice to have a tablet or touchscreen laptop, but I'm fine with my two versions of the desktop. One for a glorified quick launch, one for actually working with.

And the glorified quick lauch still comes in handy for news headlines or weather warnings at a glance.
