HUGE oil spawn!

So I was recording a Hardcore lets play on a randomly generated world and I came across this.
Now this is without doubt the largest oil geyser I have ever seen.
I am playing on the 1.5.2 with gregtech. The oil pool starts at Y=19 and goes all the way upto Y=231
The only thing that I have changed with this pack is that I have used the Universal FTB configs as I wanted Gregtech easy mod
I am unsure if using these configs has mess something up and caused that to spawn that big as side effect but all I did was drag and drop the configs in and remove compact solars.
This is the seed if anyone want to test it out -5647303975955929847 (feedback if it works for you too)

It considers the cloud to be solid ground, and punches through it. Thus, it MAY not be a large oil well. Check underneath for the size.

It would make sense as on the second screen shot that is pretty much the right size for a small oil spawn. I guess this is not intended to happen, the reason its a beta pack I guess.
