Hi all,

So, I have a HP36 boiler (powered by MFR biofuel), and I want to hook up some TE Steam Dynamos to it. Having read the various wiki's, my understanding is:
  • A HP36 boiler will produce 720mB steam/tick
  • A Steam Dynamo will consume 40mB steam/tick
Right? So I should be able to hook up 18 dynamos to my boiler.

So how come if I try to connect more than 3 dynamos (even with only a single passive fluiduct connected to the boiler), the boiler immediately starts losing steam from its reservoir? The boiler isn't yet at full temperature (about 300C) but I didn't think temperature affected the amount of steam produced. Any more than 3 dynamos will start stuttering and producing less than the max 80RF/t as soon as the boiler's reservoir drops under half (576,000mB) and stops supplying the dynamos constantly.

So where am I going wrong here?

AFAIK it was like that in the past. But in the current RC version the steam output scales with the temperature.

Yeah, I'm just coming to that conclusion - I seem to be able to add more dynamos as the boiler gets hotter. Of course, my energy cell just filled up so it's difficult to know just hard the dynamos are working right now...

Update: at 500C, it looks like it's supplying all 18 dynamos quite happily. So that's good then :)
