How will MCPC+ affect my server

So I found out the other day that I need to have MCPC+ installed on my server to get grief prevention working correctly. Anyways, it says I need to switch out the craftbukkit.jar file for the mcpc+ file. How is this going to affect my server when I do so? Do I need to regen my world, is it going to mess anything up if people have already started builds?

Just launch with the new .jar, nothing else required. Your mileage may vary, but I had a respectable performance increase when I switched to MCPC+ on my 1.4.7 server (but the quirky behavior with mystcraft and chunkloaders still drives me crazy)
