Details of the issue:

How can I back up my agrarian skies world so that I don't lose it after three lives? Very new to all this modded stuff so thank you for your help!​

1. Should not be in Tech Support.

2. If it's AS1, it should already been backed up.
If it's AS2, install AromaBackup.

There is a way to turn off hardcore in both. I just can't remember the command for it.

Will changing the game mode to survival (/gamemode survival) allow me to die more than three times?

No it is a HQM command, if I remember right. The world shouldn't actually be hardcore. It is the HQM mod that is. /HQM help or possibly /HQM will list the possible commands.

Then if that is difficult giving yourself 200 hearts and eating them should make losing all your lives less likely. though if you die a lot you may wan to keep some in reserve. I am not for sure. I think the number resets to zero if you have to many lives. You can keep as many in storage as backup as you want though.

You get more lives when you complete quests, or you can use NEI cheat mode to give yourself some hearts and use them.
