How to restart server with same map?

I found a nice world that i like, but there is taint from thaumcraft 4. I found out you can disable the spread via config. Problem is the taint spread way too much since i have the server up for awhile. I tried starting a new world with the seed the server gave me, but its not the same for some reason. How can i start the server over with the same map?

You might find that it is the same map, but you've spawned in a different location.

I messed up one of the numbers thats why. Question though, is there anything that you really miss out on by not having taint turned on?

I would say balance.

Taint is Thaumcraft's negative effect. It's the punishment that comes with being an amateur Thaumaturgist. Without it there's no reason to learn the proper way to do things.

Never done Thaumcraft a day in my life. and recently started a new map. But the taint was eating up a village already. so, thats not correct.

True, taint is included in world gen, but what I said is valid.

I ended up finding a different map to use so all is good. The reason i was complaining is i found access to a nice cave and setup up shop there to have easy access to the cave from my base. I didnt know the taint went all the way down to lower levels and shit.
