Problem How to op

Hello I am hosting a sever that 10-20 people are playing on and can not find out how to op my self on FTB infinity. I tried typeiing my user name in the ops txt. inside [] those and just deleted it after restart, and did not op me. Hosting on my own PC

for a while now vanilla changed how it stored playerdata, who is opped and who is banned.
now the easiest method to become op is to go to the server console and use the op command.

Not sure if you host it yourself of if it's hosted by a service, but back when I used to pay to host, many of the places had an option/configuration spot where you could specify an op name or op list. If you pay for a host service, you can look into that, especially if you pay for a lower end one that doesn't offer access to a console. If you host it on your own machine or your paid host has console access, Lenscas nailed it with using the console and just op <playername>
