how to make already worlds to hardcore

i have a great world but i want more difficult so how do i turn hardcore mode on?

hardcore is nothing but hard difficulty and no respawn IIRC, just as soon as you die delete the world

or use a level editor to set that flag somewhere in the world info

Just set it on hard, and delete your world when you die.

Here's a real way:

Load up your level.dat file into the editor and find the flag for hardcore, and set it to 1.
Just poke around in that program, you can find tons of editable things.

Cheats enabled- use the /difficulty command

Cheats disabled- open to LAN (with cheats) and repeat.

Have fun starting over every time you die.​
