Request How to make a Multiplayer Server

I tried to make a Multiplayer server for modpacks several times however when I click Download Server and Extract the files and install the server it doesn't give me the IP. I'm assuming it's a single player server since the only way i can join is with the Direct Join and type in localhost but no one else can join. How do I make it to become a Multiplayer server i have a good Pc with lots of memory and great internet but I just don't how to create one please help1

Port forward your IP and make sure that port 25565 is open both from the firewall and router/modern. Then simply edit the server.properties file to the IP that you has just port forwarded.
