How to install Optifine with FTB?

When ever I attempt to install optifine it says I am missing the correct version of minecraft. Be it the most up to date version, or 1.6.4 (current tech world 2). I'm sure there is a way around this, but I can not find it.

The version of optifine that you download has to be for the same version of Minecraft. You can't use a mod for 1.5 in a 1.6 instance.
