The same way you would install it to your regular minecraft.
Instead of putting it in your regular minecraft, you'll be putting it in FTB\Ultimate\minecraft\mods instead.

I tried that but minecraft crashed after the mojang page came up

I'm trying to do the same thing but I also get an error, I think its an NEI issue but not certain

Did you add render player api? i installed both galacticraft mod and render player api on core mods. minecraft starts working but it looks like it is not installed at all
