How to get rid of evil node?

What's the best way to get rid of evil thaumcraft node? I have done zero thaumcraft stuff yet and tere are wisps constantly everywhere and lighting during the day and giant angry zombies!

not easy.

Basicly the only way I know is to find/make a node that is larger then it and merge them as the bigger one eats the smaller one and when combining the subtype of the large one is always used.

...Make a new world?!?!? Make a glass chamber around the node? Move? Sorry, I'm rather unsure. Grow a pure node nearby (Rather intensive into TC though.) and move it into the dark node when it's bigger.

Sev is right about the glass. box it up 3x3x3 with an air gap in the middle if your not sure where the middel is go 5x5x5 with a 3x3x3 space in side. As long as there is air the wisps will spawn inside the box.

Will not help you with the rest of the side effects but atlest you will nto be overrun by wisps.

Yeah Wand of lightning is good to give them a taste of there own.

Otherwise turrents from portal mod or advanced golems with dart guns.

it is and a great way to work on your bow skills. Something Modded MC players seem to be on the decaline with all the lasers and stuff.

I like crossbows better than bows, personally. Although given a choice between a crossbow and a railgun, I'd definitely choose railgun.

I'd choose a crank Gatling gun. I want that in minecraft so bad though. with really cheap ammunition though.

or you throw your bow like a boomerang.

or maybe a real boomerang, that with the right angle it hits mobs and it comes back.

or what about if you have enough charge in the vajra you can shift and hold right click, it will charge like a bow and it will shoot a massive ammount of power, enough to kill the wither, but drains the vajra dry.

back on topic: make sure to make the pure node far from the dark one, oh, and if it becomes bigger than 800~ it won't be able to recharge from nearby nodes.

Also when you get that big you can start a node merge chain reaction which can just get retarded.
