I'm trying to get my filler to work and I can get it to dig out 1 level, but I want it to dig out from where it's placed to surface level. Is this possible? If so how do i do it? Thanks

You would have to set the 3D area, to do that just place a marker higher up above the 'main' marker. By main I mean the one where you connect the machine to.

You need 4 markers.

1 which is your base marker, you want to attach the filler to that. From the marker you need to place your other 3 markers to determine how far in X, Y and Z the volume goes.
So dig from your base marker in each of those 3 directions and place your markers.

Finally right click the base marker (it works best if you do this after you've placed the other markers) and place the filler (only works after you've placed the markers and created the red lines, you can't add to it later, you have to replace (break and place it again) it and the markers if you want to do that).

I'm not sure if you need to clear out all the space where the red lines will appear, but I don't think you have to do that.

You don't need to clear out any space for the red/yelow lines. As long as your markers are correctly aligned, it will work. (If you watched Etho's videos, he was wrong about this.)

You can also try the flatification pattern (I think that's what it's called): three glass in a row, three bricks in a row underneath them. Mark a horizontally aligned rectangle with three markers and use the filler. It will fill everything below the rectangle, and clear everything above it.

Make sure you do everything in proper order: place markers, right-click a marker, place filler, set pattern, provide power. If you do any steps out of order, the filter tends to get stuck and you need to start over.
