Problem How to get cows?

I am currently playing the FTB Sky Adventures Pack and need milk but there are no cows in my world. How do get some to spawn?

I do have this (see pic) grass platform for botania but there don't seem to spawn any animals. What am I doing wrong?

Let that grass platform be 16~32 block distance away from player.
