How to figure out what # a named age is?

Our server has quite a few ages that are never used and we want to get rid of them. Unfortunately, the book is gone for some of them and other ages that are being used, don't have the number is their name. Is it possible to figure out what # each age is in the game or in the files? I figured that if you named a age, that would become it's name in the files, but alas, that isn't the case.

You can use a link modifier block.

Besides letting you change the book, itll tell you its age number.

8 blocks of diamond and a block of gold, just to find the age ID, way to go.

There is a really easy way for a server to know what ages are used, if all you need is to detect the unused.

Ask for your members to gather at a specific time, and make it so that each "used" ages are loaded.

In the server console, you will see the ID of all loaded ages, so you can safely delete the others.

Just in case, do a backup before hand, you never know.

If it's for server maintenance purposes, an admin can just spawn the block, do the magic, and then remove it again.

Soon enough that will be the only option. Its a debug/admin block, not for gameplay.
