how to drain gelid cryotheum

Building a big reactor and filling it with cryotheum, doingit layer by layer is time consuming cause my reactor is max size, i've tried using buildcraft pipes to pump into the top but it isn't doing that. i'm not sure if it is possible but if it is i'd like to know how thanks
