How to do the thing...?

Hey guys, by the thing I mean have NEI "autocraft" a recipe, instead of just show the ghost of blocks.
I looked at some NEI showcases on Youtube, but none showed how to do the thing, and I have seen youtubers use it, but they never said how.
So what they do is:
look up the recipe
press the "?" next to the outputted item on NEI
then, assuming all ingredients are in their inventory, the crafting table is filled.

Unless this doesn't work in the T-Construct crafting tables, I have tried Shift-LClicking, LALT-LClicking and LCTRL-LClicking, and it hasn't worked :/

Sorry if this has been asked/answered before, I tried searching for this to no avail.

Shift left clicking the question mark should do it, just make sure you have all the items needed. Also, it sometimes doesn't work with items with metadata or damage values. If all that is fine then try a vanilla crafting table. Also, that is a terrible thread title.
