Hey, guys. I was messing around with the Cardboard Box from Mekanism and found out this neat interaction with Carpenter's Blocks (most likely unintended) that allows doors that are 1 block tall, essentially creating a trapdoor but on a different plane than the usual ones. Here is a little tutorial I put together:

If you have any questions or comments, let me know. Thanks.

ETA: This does not work with vanilla doors. It does make a cool interaction, however. If you use it on the top half of a vanilla door, it will leave behind an invisible bottom half of a door that is still functional. You can pick up this bottom half with a box and you can mine it until it is destroyed. A good way to make invisible blocks. Example: http://imgur.com/SeeDAyO

Nice enough I guess. Have wanted something like this before and often ended up burying half a Carpenters door to get a hidden opening of just one block.

But I wouldn't want to use this exploit. Who knows what kind of nasty effects/instabilities/world breaking bug it might cause later down the line.

I can't imagine something as small as this would really cause that many problems.

It only takes one small thing.

I personally value my worlds too much to risk them on unintended untested exploits.
