Problem How to ban certain items in a region?

Hello all,

I have been having this problem. I want to ban items like portal gun/gravity gun from my spawn with a plugin. My spawn is not in a different world as the overworld where people play (I am also not planning on moving it to a different dimension) so I need a way to ban items within a certain region (like the WorldEdit/Guard plugins use). I know it is possible with TekkitCustomizer, because I seen it on another server. But can anyone tell me how to do this?

Maybe you should just ban the items from being crafted? you can do that with FTB Helper just look on the list on bukkit it will show up:)
 
One method you could try is the mod route.
Use mffs with an infinite power card to define the area around spawn. Have it confiscate the disallowed items and void them. Encase the whole thing in a layer or two of bedrock. Post signs to let everyone know. If they loose one at spawn that is there problem, no refunds, they were warned.
 
yea he could do what but i think it gonna be a problem for him, with other players getting griefed by such items and he kinda need to ban them from craft,pickup,and drop and such untill their get to a higher rank or such:)
