Hey,
Running the Monster FTB pack

So i am trying to automate a 2 fermenter for ethanol crystals, but it needs so many things im running out of sides.

Its a testsetup (I know it will do nothing right now, its just to see that i need all the sides) im in a quite cold biome without fire it would take 200 sec to produce 1 yeast.
At the same time the fire is too powerfull so i need cooling fins. 1 side goes for input another one for output and finally feeding shaftpower. So i need all sides to automate it, but now i get trolled
since the second fermenter needs a redstone signal (why not just a button to switch modes?).
Is there a mircoblock capable of emiten a redstone signal or pipes which combine output and input.

The only idea i came up is, making a mystrcraft age with a desert biome and doing the process there which would save 2 sides.

Just a tip, fermenters can NOT take rf. Just thought I'd confirm that you knew before you end up on one of @Reika 's what not to post threads :p

Use the heaters from Rotary craft to set the fermenter temperature. Then you can remove the cooling fins to free up the tops.

Another option may be putting the burning netherack farther away. I was using a steam engine to power a fermenter and it was heating up from it. I added a single shaft to move it one block further away and it still heated it up after a short time, but not as hot. Not sure the exact range heat transfers, but may be worth a shot. That would free up 2 sides.

The RC heaters are designed for 1000C+ temperatures. Use those and your yeast will turn to a charred mess.

pizza,
I am aware rotarycraft block do not accept rf or mj. i was just posting it as a general note so that those who have not tried Enderio would be aware of that aspect and could take it into consideration when building in the future. the OP may have need of this feature for another build.

Now that you posted the picture, I know the problem. It is not the biome - which is actually hot - but the fact you are at y=140, which is cold.

/me dont see a problem...
water in between
power off the back
input on left of 1st, output below to the 2nd one below an export on left with fins on top...

I usualy use steve factory manager :p

Edit: move to a good biome and you wont need fire or cooling fin, just have them in a house or underground

*Facepalm*
Should have noticed that by myself.
Thanks for the help all, will try to use Ender IO then.
