o_O That title though...

You could prob mess with some world generation mod to get the desired effect.

Seriously though, one option (if you use Biomes O Plenty or similar) would be to disable biomes that generate trees. That'll leave you with wastelands, deserts, marshes and other lovely holiday locations. Trees can still generate rarely along rivers. If you also add in Natura, that uses it's own rules for generating trees, some depend on biomes, some depend on other rules for spawning.
Finding your first tree will be a challenge, you'll be wanting to guard your first sapling.

Did a similar thing in a 1.5.2 pack with a wasteland theme with old ruins across the landscape. Us server players were salvaging what wood we could get from the ruins, discussing what that wood should be used for, until we managed to find a MFR rubber tree in a swamp (hundreds of chunks from spawn), and shortly after that some natura trees on a river and a greatwood tree from Thaumcraft.

If you want to make finding wood early hard, play with large biomes and world seed starting you in desert.

Its just takes a single sapling and a matter of minutes to have infinite trees so I dont think its worth bothering with. But if you could generate a world that is all desert and extreme hills then there wouldnt be many trees naturally.

Yeah, that`s true, but that`s one of my hardcore rules, NEVER ever take a sapling

I loved that even though we found those BoP trees from canyon biome I believe, at the time they were not ore-dicted to normal wood/planks. What a troll. Found all this wood, couldn't use it in crafting recipes...

Gregtech makes it so you only get two wood planks from each log if that helps.

Oh, and better then wolves, you get one plank, and it takes like an hour to break a wood block.

I think this is gonna work, just one thing: how rarity and range in naruta config file work?
it´s tree generated for chunks? percentage of generate or what?

Edit: It really work, thank you sooooo much :D

Fixed the title to discourage juvenile behavior. ;) Welcome to the community, @Miguel1118 !
Speaking of inappropriate behavior: This is a good reminder to everyone that not all of our members speak English as their native language. This does not in any way change the fact that ALL our members, regardless of language or origin, are to be treated with respect and courtesy. Respect transcends borders and language, just like Minecraft itself.
In other words: Be Nice.

Sorry, haven't a clue on the natura configs. You'll have to experiment.
