How much Ram?

Hey guys, i am planning to open up a FTB Ultimate Pack server for me and some friends. Probably around 4-8 people will be whitelisted on it. There would be some minor non-game impacting plugins. We will be building big automation factorys and such that will require a lot of ram. How much ram should i allocate to the server? I would want absolutely zero lag.

I've seen 512MB minimum per person quoted by someone I trust. See below.

Ftb ultimate is EXTREMELY cpu and memory intensive. You want a minimum of 512mb per person connecting to the server for memory.

I would suggest a 2gb server try my ftb server if you want a test its 2gb ram and runs perfectly fine, the big thing you need in a ftb server is hard drive space and CPU
