It seems pretty solid. The FX-6300 is a pretty solid processor, but it especially shines in multi-tasking and things like streaming/recording. That said, if you can pay the money, I suggest switching to an Intel i5 4690k. Or if you want to stick with AMD, the FX-8350. Both have better single thread performance(i5 is significantly better than the FX-8350).

It says it MIGHT need an updated BIOS.
If it needs to be updated, look it up on Google.
If you do any serious building, lots of automation, tech and/or magic you will always end up with 20 odd fps at the centre of your base. The MC engine is simply too crappy to handle it all. Hopefully those 1.8 changes(multicore and whatnot) will help, but quite a while till stable 1.8 packs I am afraid.

I'm used to Windows. I've tried Linux, but I liked Windows better.
