So, I've been playing for about 6 hours now, still lots to learn. Mostly reading on wiki, forums and watching some youtube videos.

So, I built the pulverizer and a grindstone (dunno if I needed both, but I'm mostly just trying everything out).

However, I seem to only get 1 dust for each ingot. I did about an hour of trying to search on google and forums, but don't seem to find anything about this.

My pulverizer works, as it smashes down ingots. My grindstone works, since it smashes too. But, each time it does...I only get 1 dust. I thought you got 2 dust or something.

Probably missing something, but I'm pretty sure I did (at least) mostly the right things...since the machines work and all. Just, I always get 1 dust, and never 2.

I also tried smelting the dust, but it just gives me 1 ingot back, so that experiment didn't really work either.

Anyone know what may be going on or if I missed a step or something?

Thanks :)

Its the ore that you get 2 dust from, not the ingots, if it was the ingots you could just dupe it :3

Hope it helped.

They both do the same thing, and it's intended for processing. i.e. 1 ore > 2 dust > 2 ingot.

You can't duplicate an ingot, otherwise you could do:
1 ingot > 2 dust > 2 ingot > 4 dust > ad infinitem.

The pulveriser has a small chance of additional materials too. The grindstone is essentially intended to be the manual version before you have any infrastructure set up.

oh xD that makes sense. Dunno why I thought it was ingots, yeah that would be abused that way. Knew it was something obvious and I was just being a doofus :p

Thanks :)

you need to pulverize/grind the ores, not the ingots. pulverizing ores gives 2 dusts (and the pulverizer gives some secondary dusts sometimes) and then you can smelt the dusts to ingots. pulverizing ingots just gives 1 dust and no secondary dusts, else you have a never ending cycle of pulverizing and smelting.
