How do you use Forge MicroBlocks?

I made a handsaw but I can't seem to make any of the mircoblocks... am I doing something wrong?

Put the saw in the crafting table and the block you want to cut below the saw.

If you want to cut a microblock (like a panel) into posts, pillars, etc. place them on the right side of the saw

i cant do this in ftb revelation it wont work please help

Remember that certain saws cannot cut certain blocks, for example, the stone saw cannot cut obsidian. Nor can the iron.

I've started using forge microblocks and I'm finding it hard to pick up the blocks if I misplaced them, what is the correct tool?
