How do you turn an electric engine?

I have tried three wrenches and they didn't work so what do I use to turn it? The wrenches I used were the IC2 one, Buildcraft one, and one other one made from bronze. I tried shift clicking, right clicking and left clicking.

Do you have a wooden conductive pipe next to it? I've noticed they only orient with a pipe they can connect to.

I figured it out, I had to place the engine after I placed my rolling machine to get it to face the rolling machine.
