So I was tired of waiting forever for my industrial centrifuge to work, so I chucked like four overclockers and a transformer and hooked it up to an MFE.
What I didn't know was that overclocking the machine makes it require a crapload more EU :(

Is there a way to take the overclockers out of the centrifuge, or will I have to make another one?

well when ever you put in OC'ers in a Gregtech machine you cant get them out as far as I know. you could try an uncrafting table then recraft it.

Since you can't take them back out, I just decided to chuck that centrifuge into lava and make a new one.
(That thing was absolutely useless for me, sucking up every last drop of EU from my petty geothermal generators)

You should just upgrade those outdated things to Thermals 24eu/t each and give 50% more milage for you lava. Yep they do require some extra work to get just upgrade one by one until you replaced them all.

I looked at the recipes and man, so much invar >.< But yeah, I'll try Thermal Generators out.
(One question: will the Thermals blow up my compressors and extractors?)

Certain machines, or at least the basic automatic compressors and such, can be crafted together with a conveyor module to craft a completely new, blank version of that machine.
This is due to the ore dict, And is most likely unintended.
