How do I smelt netherrack into nether brick

I've used iron furnace, electric furnace, and a normal furnace. FTB Ultimate Pack. Nothing works and I thought the recipe was simple with just netherrack into a furnace with fuel.

That's added in 1.5. Until then, you can smelt 4 netherrack with 1 soul sand in an induction smelter for 2 nether brick.

You can compress it in a compressor. Not sure which mod adds that, though. Might be ic2, but might be Greg.

As stated above you can compress netherrack into netherbrick in a 3:1 ratio

Strictly speaking, the induction smelter (the TE thing) also has a recipe involving soul sand and netherrack, but honestly, it's probably easier to use a compressor.
