I've set up my AE system today and read on here that the best way to 'load balance' when handing big batches of, say, dusts from a grinder, is to export them to a router to a line of furnaces. My setup is an export to a router with 4 induction furnaces to the right of it and a router on the end to extract. It initially works but I'm guessing it gets to the end of the line, tries to put into that second router and creates an infinite feedback loop. The machine filter just doesn't work (with induction furnaces, despite detecting them perfectly fine) and even so I'm guessing it'd just get to the end of the line and stall out.

Sounds like it might be the extraction router causing you the problem, if it's not also machine filtered to induction furnaces, it'll steal stuff from your first router. Did you apply machine filters to both routers?

Also the problem might be with the extraction router stealing stuff from the induction furnaces before it gets smelted; double check that your have it set to extract only from the IF's output slot. You'll also need some method of getting the items OUT of the extraction router, since they don't automatically output. You can use an ejector module to spit the items into a chest, or you can pump out of the router using a transposer/gated pipe/ME Import Interface and whatnot.

When using the machine filter, set to induction furnace on either and/or both routers, they both stop working entirely. An ME Import bus on the extract router works for pulling items out of it.
