how do i find bauxite?

Playing with the mindcrack v6 modpack i had the idea to make a diamond mining drill. Wish i had not ;-)
After some effort i now can make steel and made a mining drill so next add 3 diamonds, oh wait that recipi is now difficult also ...

So i want to make some titanium and so i think i need some bauxite for that, but what is the best place/level/biome to find bauxite as have not seen any yet.
