How do I correctly redownload a ModPack?

I'm very sorry if this thread should be in a different section, but it seemed less like a tech-support kind of thread, so I thought I'd post it here. If there is a better section for this, please share.

I have a major graphics bug that I believe is associated with my Monster ModPack, and I want to redownload it, so that I can narrow down the possible causes.

How do I correctly redownload, whilst keeping my configs for the mods? (most importantly, Zan's Minimap waypoints, Opis Maps, etc) I really really don't want to that data, is there a way that I can save it?
 
Backup your config folder and use that backup to override the new config folder generated by the redownload.
The waypoints should be located in your world/save folder or within the FTB .minecraft folder. Do the same step to your save as you did to the configs.
