how do i add more ram

  • Tech Support section is for getting help with FTB related problems. If there's a repeatable issue that can be labeled as a bug, then please use the issue tracker for the pack or the app at GitHub issue trackers - If there's no repository for a pack that means that the pack is old and/or will not be updated. Bugs for older packs will not be fixed, unless they are critical.

Sounds like you have installed 32-bit java, install and use 64-bit java version 8.

4gb available as in that's your total on the machine?

If that's the case, then most new packs will not work even if you can allocate it.

You should not allocate all of your ram - your os and other applications needs some as well.

First off - you should always start your own threads when asking for support.

But with the limited amount of information that you've given, the answer that I gave the original poster also applies to you - did you read my reply?
