how do FTB?

i use to use ftb a lot but in trying to find the "new" argonian skies 2 it seemed the servers where down and i could not update... so i checked this site for the first time ever and re downloaded it cos the site seems to be working so what should ftb not be and maybe it will update things?

any who wtf is this curse thing how how do FTB?
is FTB now a front or something and now longer running?
why do i feel like i just downloaded a virus?

Curse is the new ftb launcher, old ftb launcher should still work and no you are not alone in not liking it.

also what in the world has happen to minecraft ? i hear rumers of this win 10 minecraft that people need to buy again and it has no mod support and will not work with normal minecraft?
also i cant seem to log in to my account or anything? wtf happen notch?
cant thy just make a minecraft clone like everyone else instead of braking what works lol

When you open the Curse launcher, on the left side there should be a button that looks like a creeper face, click that.

On the FTB mainsite under the download button, there are links for the legacy laucnher.

If you own Minecraft on PC/Mac you can get Minecraft Win 10 for free.

No idea, I'm not using it myself due to it not supporting my OS and curse is still "exploring" options for my OS. I believe you need to have a curse account first though before this client can be used.

Under that big download button are small "legacy" links, these download the old FTB launcher we all know and love

There is indeed a win10 version of Minecraft. This is basically the console version but works on windows 10. I think you can still "claim" a copy if you have the original minecraft version but obviously it works only on windows 10.

No idea, maybe your minecraft account got changed to a mojang account which means you need to use your email instead of username?

minecraft windows 10 version, minecraft pocket edition, minecraft wii, minecraft XBOX, minecraft playsation. Seems they are already doing a great job at making clones

o i found a link ... if you go brows all modpacks click on the little \/ next to the play button on the mod pack in then view profile then overview... it has a link

Win10 Minecraft is completely separate from Java Minecraft... It's based on the codebase of the "Pocket Edition" of MC, because that was written in C++ and Microsoft already has plenty of C++ developers available. It's also fully compatible with all the console, tablet and phone MCPE versions, complete to being able to play on a "Realms" server with each other.

You do not need to use MC for win10, and it doesn't yet support modding. As stated above, if you want the Win10 version and have a legal copy of Vanilla MC then Win10 MC is free. If not it costs about 5 USD, I think.

Notch sold Mojang to Microsoft about a year and a half ago for 2.5 Billion USD, stating that he was tired of dealing with demands and trollish comments on social media.

Contrary to some fears, everything is going fine... Microsoft is concentrating on MCPE and Mojang is free to continue with the Java version... We're currently up to release version 1.10.2 with mod development in progress, and Snapshots for 1.11 are supposed to be available during Minecon in a month or two.

As far as your account goes, you should probably start with Mojang support. They had an account change a few years ago that you may have missed and need to convert.
