How am I supposed to get 192 berylium cells (for fusion coils)?

I have more than enough UU matter for all the coal/tin/copper. But 2 emeralds for 7 uu matter? How am I supposed to get all those berylium cells, when it's like 29 emeralds for 3 of them. Is there a third way that I don't know?

I'm sorry but still using the beta pack is your own choice.

Harsh as it may sound, hydra is correct. Sadly this is your fault for using the very offdated pack, but you can still use vanilla style farming to get the ender pearls.

Another option is finding a NPC village and trading junk for emeralds. They generally will buy a ton of wool, wheat, raw meat and similar things. If you provide them with a lot of doors, they will breed a large population. And you can make sure that villagers with useless trades find their way into, err, unfortunate accidents with lava buckets without worrying about negative reputation.

So you guys are saying that in gregtech 2 emarlds will produce 7uu matter in some way, and Enderpearsl will produce emarlds. So an enderfarm can be a uu mattter farm?

Ok seriously. Did you actually read what they wrote or are you trolling..? He is trying to get beryllium cells and he wants to use emerald dust but is saying 7 uum = 2 emeralds and ~29 emeralds for cells means a lot of uum... So others suggested using enderpearls instead.

How do you get 192 Be Cells (no soulshard)?: go 150 blocks from a border of the main continent of the end, put torches to all asteroids in the radius of 150 from that point (wait is there any asteroid in the beta pack?), in that center point, make a good piston-pressure plate tower+ obsidian pipe or any item sucker on the floor (endermen farm), afk for 1-3 hour at the same spot, process the ender pearls to get Be cells..

I know. But there's no Soul Shards mod in the beta pack. and 16 enderpearls for 1 cell... That's a no go.

A few worlds ago, I just made myself a safe area underneath some cobblestone, and just aggro'd a crapton of Endermen on the main landmass and slashed 'em with a nano saber. It didn't take me long to get like 15 stacks of pearls. This was with no machinery, no prepping the local spawn space with torches...

Much faster could be achieved with moderate effort.

Maybe you could do something with a bunch of tesla coils. Does anyone know if I can transfer my world to another modpack, without everything crashing and stuff? As long as the modpack has Gregtech. IC2, and Adv Solar, I don't mind.

Sadly the beta pack is not on the universal ID settings. I do not know what would be required to get it over, but it would be non-trivial. All current and future FTB packs are easily transferred between packs though.

Wow... I didn't realize I was missing out on so much. :l
Maybe I'll just make a new world and inv edit the important stuff (I HATE starting over again).

Making the switch will probably be really worthwhile. The ultimate pack has some awesome new mods in it like AE and modular powersuits. Restarting from scratch can actually be a lot of fun if you take a new direction. If you did IC2 last time, do TE or factorization this time. If you did sorting with RP, do it with AE, etc etc.
